Bareboat Yacht Charter

Overview:

If you don't have your own yacht but are a competent sailor or powerboater, bareboat charter could be exactly what you need! Perhaps you have a team you'd like to enter into one of the many summer regattas, or maybe you simply fancy a weekend out on the water.

Pre Requisites:

• The skipper should hold RYA Day Skipper Sail (or higher) for sail charter or RYA Intermediate Powerboat (or higher) for RIB charter
• The skipper should be able to demonstrate relevant experience
• The skipper must undergo a short test with us (not necessary if qualified with us)
• At least one crew member should hold RYA Competent Crew (or higher) for sailing yacht charters
• At least one person onboard should hold a Short Range Certificate (or higher)

Course Conditions:

The following conditions apply to Bareboat Charter:

1. We need to hold a £1,500 security deposit in cleared funds prior to charter
2. We require sight and scan of either your passport or two part driving licence prior to charter
3. We require each crew member to provide Next of Kin details.
4. Night powerboating is excluded. Night sailing can be discussed depending upon the skipper's experience.

What's Included:

Charterers get free berthing at the following marinas:

• Shamrock Quay (home port)
• Saxon Wharf (Southampton)
• Ocean Village (Southampton)
• Hythe (Southampton Water)
• Cobbs Quay (Poole)
• Sparkes (Chichester Harbour)
• Northney (Chichester Harbour)
• Torquay (Torquay)
• Brixham (Brixham)
• Queen Annes Battery (Plymouth)

Reasonable gas and Insurance (except for insurance excess) are also included.

What's Not Included:

• Wet weather gear (£5/hire per person per day)
• Engine costs (£6/hour run for sailing yachts and powerboats)
• Fuel costs for powerboats & outboards (no charge for sailing yachts)
• Skipper (required for some craft, £230/day)
