RORC Caribbean 600 2015
Info
Overview:
The 7th edition of the RORC Caribbean 600 will attract competitors from all over the world. In just a few years it has established itself as one of the 'must do' offshore yacht races of the international racing calendar, on a par with the RORC Fastnet Race and Sydney Hobart Race. One of the main reasons for its popularity is the fantastic sailing conditions as well as the intricate course, weaving through 11 Caribbean islands. The RORC Caribbean 600 is a new style of offshore yacht race, designed to test speed, agility and guile: more like a Formula One race track than a traditional windward leeward course.
When the gun goes at Fort Charlotte, Antigua, to mark the start of the RORC Caribbean 600 2015, the racing crews will be pumped up with adrenaline to begin a high-speed adventure in arguably the best sailing grounds in the world. Warm breeze, day and night with big waves typify this race, making the central Caribbean a very special place to race.
If the idea of offshore racing in a pair of shorts with big breeze appeals to you then apply to join our race team. This page is for the 'Buy a Berth' package, which is for people looking to buy individual places onboard one of our yachts for this campaign (or 2-3 places). We also offer whole boat charter for teams looking to hire an entire boat plus skipper.
On board our racer-cruiser with our professional skipper and mate, you will spend three days training in the waters around Antigua before the preparation day and then starting the race. Between three and five days later (depending upon prevailing conditions) we will cross the finish line to enjoy the welcome party atmosphere ashore of English Harbour.
