Kate Thompson - Director

Role: Kate has overall responsibility for the management and development of the DofE in Northern Ireland through dedicated staff, Northern Ireland Ambassador Network and DofE Manager Committees, Licensed Organisations and the wider DofE network. Kate is a Gold Award holder and says doing her DofE changed her life. She is a keen hillwalker, traveller and photographer and a canoe/kayak instructor in her spare time.
Carol Burrows - Operations Officer

Role: Carol is responsible for supporting the delivery of the DofE programme, monitoring and enhancing the quality of delivery, supporting Licensed Organisations, Expedition Assessor Accreditation, Expedition Blue Form notifications and training delivery.
Carol has considerable experience in the 'Looked After Children' sector and joins us from Care Visions Fostering where she was Recruitment and Placement Co-Ordinator/Development Manager. In her spare time Carol is a keen ice skater.
Julie McGimpsey - Office and Communications Manager

Role: Julie manages the office and is responsible for Silver and Gold Award Presentations, communications, statistics, enquiries, eDofE training and support, health and safety as well as support for Kate.
Hilary Smyth - eDofE Support

Role: Hilary's role is to support Licensed Organisations, Co-ordinators, Leaders and participants with eDofE enquiries and training. Hilary is the DofE Manager for Girlguiding Ulster and has a wealth of experience using eDofE.
James McClements - Administrative Assistant

Role: James's role is to deal with incoming telephone and website enquiries, administration including training courses and to support the other roles. James is a Bronze, Silver and Gold Award holder and has been involved with DofE through the Boys' Brigade for 11 years.
