The Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2014 has drawn to a close with the Laser, Laser Radial and 470 honours being picked up on the final day of action.

Alberto Rossi's Enfant Terrible from Italy, Jaak Jögi's Forte from Estonia, and Giuseppe Giuffre's Low Noise from Italy are all crowned as new ORC World Champions.

The 2014 edition of the Gazprom Swan 60 World Championship saw Vladimir Liubomirov's Bronenosec (RUS) take the title for the second time. Sailing with a mix of Russian and Italian crew members the victory was particularly sweet having sailed an exemplary series.

The Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2014 will conclude on Saturday 9 August with the medals to be decided in the Men's and Women's 470, Laser and Laser Radial on the Pão de Açucar race track.

The fifth day of the Dunkerbeck-Eyewear Siam Park Tenerife PWA World Cup saw an abundance of drama with plenty of twists and turns in both the men's and women's divisions.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil threw out glamorous conditions as the racing concluded in the 49er, 49erFX, Finn and Nacra 17 on a breezy day at the Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2014.
