Senior Administrator, Youth Racing

12 months Maternity Cover from March 2013.

We are looking to appoint an organised and numerate Administrator with good attention to detail to support the RYA’s successful Junior and Youth Racing programmes.  These programmes identify and develop talented young sailors to improve and maintain British Sailing’s performance in major international competitions.

Reporting to the Youth Racing Operations Officer and working alongside two other Senior Administrators, you will liaise with young sailors, parents and coaches, as well as numerous other support staff.  As part of this small and busy team, you will be responsible for organising domestic training camps and the logistics for participation at international events, checking and processing payments and maintaining accurate records and documentation.  The role is mainly office based but there are occasional external meetings and the Administrator may be required to attend training camps and racing events.

The successful applicant will be highly numerate, have excellent IT skills, including experience of spreadsheets, with good written and verbal communication skills.  Ideally, with knowledge of sailboat racing, you will have the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and maintain accuracy under pressure.
