RYA Council Elections 2014

Personal member representatives

Nominations are invited for the election of individuals to represent the interests of the Personal Members of the RYA on the Council. All candidates must be Personal or Life Members of the RYA. The term of office will be four years and will take effect from the AGM on Friday 21 November 2014.

Nominations must reach the Chief Executive by Friday 25 July 2014.

RYA Council

The Council is the body that represents the interests of all members of the Association. Its primary function is to ensure that the members’ interests, rights and wishes are reflected in the Association’s policies and high level strategies.

The Council meets four times each year, normally in London, to discuss and decide on the policy issues brought to it. Basic travel expenses are paid.

There are five Personal and Life Member vacancies on the Council this year. If the number of candidates exceeds the number of vacancies a ballot paper will be circulated to all Personal and Life Members and the result announced at the AGM.

Candidates should complete both a Nomination and an Equality Opportunities form. If you wish these to be emailed to you, please contact Jude Rose at jude.rose@rya.org.uk / 023 8060 4103.

Annual General Meeting

The RYA AGM will be held at One Great George Street, Westminster London SW1P 3AA at 11 am on Friday 21 November 2014.
