The Marine Society & Sea Cadets are currently seeking an enthusiastic water sports instructor to deliver sailing and paddlesports training at their growing facility in East London. In this role you will be responsible for leading the delivery of their schools programme as well as supporting the Chief Instructor in running and facilitation of cadet instruction.

Trust and Grant Fundraiser - Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust takes young people sailing to help them gain confidence on their way to recovery from cancer. We are seeking a bid writer to help deliver our growth strategy. The new position will support the Trust and Grant fundraiser within the established and experienced fundraising team. The position would suit either an experienced bid writer or a highly organised person with excellent written and administration skills who demonstrates potential to grow into the role.

A part time, permanent position - 24 hrs per week over 4 or 5 days.

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation's largest maritime charity and the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), a civilian voluntary youth organisation comprising some 400 or so volunteer Sea Cadet Units, throughout the UK. The SCC offers a wide range of youth opportunities with the same enduring objective – to foster good citizenship in the community.

The MSSC currently have seasonal vacancies at Port Edgar Boat Station, SCTC CALEDONIA, for three Boatwork Instructors to work on Mondays to Fridays, as follows:

• One instructor to work 84 days between 19th May and 11th September
• Two instructors to work 50 days between 30th June and 5th September

Refit Volunteers - Ocean Youth Trust South

OYT South's vessel John Laing undergoes a substantial refit every year between November and March. Volunteers are needed to join the team for a minimum of a month during this time - ideally for the full four and a half months.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone planning a gap year or career break, or looking to move into the Sail Training industry: most previous OYT South core team refit volunteers have gone on to paid sailing work.

Volunteers receive food and accommodation, as well as experience in boat repairs and maintenance.

A hard-working, responsible and enthusiastic approach is essential; practical skills in any aspect of boat maintenance is an advantage.
