The James Myatt Trust is here to help young people aged between 16 and 25 to experience sail training sea going voyages. The voyage would be on a sailing vessel operated by the Association of Sail Training Organisations (ASTO).
The vessels range in size from 18 to over 60 metres in length and meet the set government safety and operating standards.
The voyages can last between 2 to 14 days.
Sail training experiences are great for making friends, seeing new places, taking responsibility and developing skills and confidence.
The experience is so good that we the trustees would like to help everybody go sailing, but don’t have enough money to do that. The trust aims to help young people who really cannot raise enough money to secure a place on a voyage.
