A firework display heralds the end of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympics at the Olympic Stadium.

Welcome to Get Set – the official Olympic and Paralympic education programme for schools across the UK

We, the British Olympic Association and the British Paralympic Association are delighted to be partnering together to deliver Get Set as part of the legacy of the London 2012 education programme.

The new website

Get Set has had a makeover! We hope that you like the new website and resources. We talked to lots of teachers and school leaders about the things you wanted to keep from the old Get Set website and the things that you thought could be improved and we’ve done our best to listen to you.

You’ll find:

  • brand new curriculum resources to help you in class
  • project ideas which the whole school can be involved in
  • profiles about the athletes that were part of ‘our greatest team’ this summer
  • new assemblies about the Values
  • facts and figures about the history of the Games’ and some if their iconic traditions and lots more.

Register or activate your registration to access resources

If you were registered with the Get Set programme before the London 2012 Games, and you didn’t opt out of your details being passed across to us, you are already registered. Just activate your account and you can start exploring the new website.

If you are new to Get Set, it’s quick, simple and free to register. Once you have a username and password you can access everything on the site.

It’s not the end, it’s just the beginning

London 2012 may behind us, but the magic and excitement of the Games certainly isn’t over. We hope that you will join us, Team GB and ParalympicsGB on the journey to Sochi 2014, Rio 2016 and beyond.
