My Environment – information that connects people and nature

To help people find the information they need to explore, understand, enjoy and protect the natural environment in England in one place on the web.

 

  • The government’s Natural Environment White Paperexternal link promised to make environmental information more easily available to help people get involved with their local environment.

  • Defra asked Natural England to develop a simple prototype signposting service, working in partnership with the Environment Agency. The prototype was closed on 4 October 2013.

  • Using feedback from users of the prototype and other research, Defra and partners are developing a set of environmental information services to better meet user needs which will be provided through GOV.UKexternal link.
