There are many factors to consider when choosing the right pair of boots so let the highly-trained staff walk you through the process with a FREE boot fitting in store.
They will examine your feet, take detailed measurements, discuss your choice of socks and of course consider any issues which may have caused you discomfort in the past. If you need to bring them back for any further tweaking, feel free: that’s all part of the service.
With all the equipment and clothing needed for a day in the great outdoors it is essential it is vital to ensure the pack is a good fit.
Everybody is a different shape, so the layout of shoulder straps, hip belt and chest straps needs to be right for you. Of course, you’ll need to make sure it’s OK with your kit in it, so they recommend you load it up once you get it home and try it out: you’re very welcome to bring it back in for fine tuning.
Cotswold Outdoor can also provide kit talks for DofE groups of all levels preparing for expeditions either in-store or at a more convenient venue for you. Talks can cover expert advice on topics like the benefits of layering, which fabrics are best for which conditions or advice on maintaining your equipment.
