Try sailing for free at West Wick Yacht Club 

May is National Watersports Month and West Wick Yacht Club invites you and your family to come and try sailing for FREE at the Fambridge Yacht Haven Marina Open Day on Saturday 17 May.

This fun-filled Open Day, at the family friendly, inclusive club at Fambridge Yacht Haven near North Fambridge runs from 10.30 and is guaranteed to offer something for everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability.   

Get a first taste of sailing with one of the club’s RYA instructors or experienced members – weather permitting - and sample the social side of what life at West Wick YC can offer. 

There will be trade stands to look at with assorted boats, riggers, the Handicap Sailing Association and more.   

Just bring along a change of clothes and some old trainers and the club will supply everything else you need. Refreshments will be available.   J

John Stephenson of the club said: “It’s our aim for absolutely anyone to be able to learn to sail and regularly go sailing if they want to. The club offers an exciting range of practical sailing trips and training courses in association with First Class Sailing. We have a full summer cruising programme and autumn/winter race series.”
