Try Sailing For Free At Bewl Valley SC!

Kent club hosts 2014 Open Day on Saturday 14 June

Come and try a fantastic, social outdoor sport, where everyday life really does get left on the shore as Bewl Valley Sailing Club invites you and your family to try sailing for FREE at its 2014 Open Day on Saturday 14 June.

The fun starts at 10am at this family friendly club on Bewl Water, and is guaranteed to offer something for everyone, regardless of age, gender, experience or ability.

Get a first taste of sailing with one of the club’s experienced members, enjoy getting to grips with one of the club’s own boats (weather permitting) or simply sample the social side of what life at Bewl Valley SC can offer, with facepainting, games, music, hog roast and plenty more!

Mariners of Bewl, which provides integrated sailing for the disabled at Bewl Valley, will also be on hand to show people what opportunities to sail and sail regularly they can offer.

Refreshments will be available and a warm welcome is guaranteed as Bewl Valley SC aims to give newcomers a real sense of the club and what sailing is really all about.

All you need for the Open Day is a change of clothes, soft soled shoes and a towel and the club will provide what else you need.

Bewl Valley SC is a recognised RYA Training Centre, meaning it conforms to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Meanwhile, if you know you already want to learn to sail, Bewl Valley SC is running a number of RYA Start and Go Sailing courses and activities throughout the year, introducing people to the basics and giving them the best first experience in the sport, while also providing opportunities for them to then stay involved and keep improving their skills at this welcoming, inclusive sailing club.

Bewl Valley SC is situated on the north shore of Bewl Water, one mile south of Lamberhurst on the Kent and East Sussex border.
