On 1 April 2013, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) took on its full range of functions and its status as an Other Significant National Body.
The Governance and Accountability Framework is a non statutory document which forms a key component of the accountability and governance infrastructure. Setting broad governance structures within which the SFRS will operate and defines key roles and responsibilities which underpin the accountability relationships between the SFRS and the SG.
