Bronze and Silver Award presentations are always held locally, usually run by your child's Operating Authority, school or club. These ceremonies may also include the presentation of Gold Award badges (the Gold certificates are presented at national ceremonies).
Achieving a Duke of Edinburgh's Award at any level really is a big deal. It takes a lot of effort and dedication, so it's only right that your child enjoys a proper celebration of their achievements.
Your DofE Leader will tell you of any local presentations, which may be in a school assembly, at a weekly meeting or at a special ceremony one evening or at a weekend... it often depends on how many Awards are being presented as to where and when the presentations are held. Talk with your dofE Leader if you need any more information on Bronze and Silver Award presentations.
The national Gold Award presentations are a great day out all round. You'll be bursting with pride when you see your son or daughter stepping up to collect their Award and meeting HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or The Earl of Wessex. The presentations last 2-2½ half hours and there are plenty of photographs taken, which you can order online.
