Why volunteer?

"I love working with young people and the fact that doing their DofE gives them so much."
Sue Rose, DofE volunteer

Sue speaks for all our volunteers. They all get a real kick out of helping young people achieve more of themselves and seeing the resulting satisfaction, excitement and happiness in their eyes.  If you're an Award holder you’ll know just how good it felt.  The achievements, the thrills and spills and the many friends you made along the way.  Why not pass on your experiences and help the next generation of DofE participants?

Whether you are an Award holder or not, if you have skills, hobbies or life-experience you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you.

From DofE Leaders to admin support and mini-bus drivers, there are so many areas and activities we could do with extra pairs of hands in. The fact is there are lots of opportunities to get involved as a volunteer with The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

So if you want to help a Charity that doesn't judge but prefers to help. If you want to be part of a team that gets a buzz out of enabling young people realise their real potential, get the ball rolling by contacting your nearest Licensed Organisation. Without the generosity and talents of people like you, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Charity just wouldn't exist.
