We hold an adjudication if a complaint reaches the final stage of our process. This means that we have been unable to resolve the complaint and have asked our independent board of directors to review the case.

The board then have the right to either uphold or reject the complaint based on the evidence. If they uphold a complaint, they are also able to impose sanctions depending on the severity of the case.

Each adjudication is judged against the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
