Full ArticleA former 400m sprinter, Dominic Parsons was first introduced to Skeleton in 2007, when his friend Adam Pengilly (Team GB athlete at the Turin 2006 and Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games) took him to the push track at Bath University. From this he showed huge potential, and as a result has been representing Great Britain since making his Europa Cup debut in St. Moritz in 2008.
Parsons made a blistering start to the 2013-14 World Cup season, reaching the podium in the first race in Calgary.
His bronze medal here marked the first GB men’s podium finish since the 2010/2011 season when teammate Kristan Bromley won bronze in Lake Placid.
Multi-talented Parsons is studying for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and will make his Olympic debut at Sochi 2014.
