Welcome to the Supplier Recognition Scheme Website
What is the Supplier Recognition Scheme?
Suppliers to the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games can now champion their involvement in the sporting spectacular, after a landmark deal reached by the Government, British Olympic Association (BOA) and International Olympic Committee (IOC). The new Scheme – the first of its kind - will give eligible suppliers recognition for the part they played in the success of the London 2012 Games.
Businesses that have successfully delivered goods and services for the Games can apply to the BOA for a Scheme licence. The following UK businesses are eligible to apply:
- businesses that have supplied goods or services directly to LOCOG or ODA prior to 31st December 2012
- sub-contractors that have provided goods or services to a LOCOG or ODA supplier prior to 31st December 2012
The licence is granted at the discretion of the BOA. Certain business categories are excluded to protect the rights of IOC and London 2012 sponsors. For more information visit our FAQ.
On receipt of the free licence eligible suppliers will be given a specific designation relating to their supply to the London 2012 Games.
Eligible suppliers will be able to promote their work at trade shows both in the UK and internationally, apply for industry awards for their London 2012 work and use their involvement in pitches and tender documentation when competing for international contracts. The licence will give businesses exclusive access to an ODA image library of more than 4,000 photographs from the project to use in conjunction with their recognition rights. For more information on the benefits of the scheme, visit our FAQ.

“We are very proud of the work that our people did during London 2012 and are glad that we can now offer recognition to them officially for the hard work and clear advice they provided to LOCOG during the Games. Being able to advertise the fact with the support of Supplier Recognition Scheme 2012 can only help in promoting the best practices that underpinned the successful delivery of the Games.
“UK Business delivered and those companies that were a part of that, including ourselves, have a wonderful opportunity to let people know about it.”
