The 2014 Glyn Charles Memorial Open Pursuit Race (in aid of the John Merricks Sailing Trust) was won by Chris Powles in a Solo. The 88 entries were treated to pleasant day in Chichester Harbour with the light winds favouring the Solo, RS200 and Flying 15 classes. Second place went to James and Will Rusden in an RS200, followed by a fleet of Solo sailors: Rob Hack, Nick Peters and Greg Lamb, before the first Flying 15, that of Richard Lovering and Matt Alvarado, took sixth place

Racing will take place in Chichester Harbour.

Please enter at the Hayling Island SC office on the day of the event.
Entry is open to all monohull dinghies with a PY of 1459 and below
Locally adjusted PY numbers will be used to determine the pursuit race start times
Also the Keelboat classes: Artemis 20, Flying 15, RS K6, RS Elite, X boat, Swallow, Sunbeam, Hawk, Star, Yngling
Other classes may be accepted at the discretion of the organizing authority
Entry fees are as follows:
Single-handed boat: £10.00 (under 18 £5.00)
Two-handed boat: £12.00 (under 18 £6.00)
Three-handed boat: £15.00

Packed Lunches will be available to purchase from the Snack Bar from: 09:00hrs

Mobile homes/Camper vans
No mobile homes/camper vans may remain within the precincts of the club, which includes the car park, overflow car park and the causeway, between the hours of 23.00 and 07.00hrs unless they have pre-booked and paid the prevailing rate to the club office. The number of available spaces is restricted and the camper van must be parked in the allocated area as directed by the HISC Office.
Please help by abiding with this rule so that HISC complies with the law and retains the goodwill of its neighbours.
Boat Parking
Trailer storage will be in a designated area in the Carpark next to the Lifeboat station, please ensure all trailers are labelled with owners name and sail number.
