Dinghy sailing is a great sport no matter what level you of participation you choose.  From gentle, laid-back, cruising to high-adrenaline exhilaration, there’s something for every age and ability.  The best way to start is at an RYA Recognised Training Centre like HLSTC.  Hawley is also an ideal club to join to let you practice and develop after you’ve learnt.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of quietly paddling your own kayak or canoe.  A great balance of relaxation and healthy activity that you can do here or anywhere with access to water. The basic skills are easy to master and you’ll quickly reach the level required to be safe and independent.

We all want our kids to be active, healthy and independent.  We also want them to be able to have fun and enjoy challenges in a safe environment.  All of these are an intrinsic part of learning to sail and taking it up as a sport.  Any ability from aged 8 upwards can be catered for here at Hawley Lake and parents can be assured that their children will be well looked after, whilst having the time of their lives.
