The apps team is responsible for the entire Onavo user experience: Building the iOS and Android apps, creating a highly scalable VPN backend infrastructure deployed globally, applying compression technology and making data affordable across the globe. We are looking for an all-arounder that is able to move quickly between iOS, Android, low level networking, kernel patching, and much more. If you are experienced with various technologies, are a fast learner and have a "get things done" mentality, let us know.

Responsibilities

  • Creating services that enable billions of users to access the Internet
  • Work closely with our product and design teams to define feature specifications
  • Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and highly scale back-end services

Requirements

  • IDF technological units or B.Sc. or M.Sc. Computer Science/related field
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with dynamic programming languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Experience with reverse engineering, low level networking or linux kernel patching a plus
  • Knowledge in one of Objective C, Android development or Java
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
  • Knowledge of web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Experience with C, C++ a plus
