Virtual Logistics Program Manager

Facebook is seeking an experienced Logistics Program manager to focus on logistics operations at locations at which Facebook does not have full-time employees but at which it has significant property receiving, storage, distribution, inventory management, asset management, and accountability responsibilities. This person will be responsible for working closely with logistics process and system managers at Facebook headquarters, regional field leads at FB data centers, and vendor support personnel in helping to develop and implement consistent processes, analytics, and visibility measurements for management and consistency of inventories in the widely distributed network of locations that support Facebook operations. These include warehouses, points-of-presence (POPs), manufacturers, integrators, and any other ‘virtual’ location that handles and manages Facebook material. This is a highly visible position which requires understanding of data center logistics processes and systems, financial cost analysis and experience with data analysis and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day aspects of material movement, including shipping and receiving, inventory management and cycle counting of all FB owned inventory with suppliers or remote FB locations.
  • Conduct physical audits as appropriate
  • Produce monthly Audits of Compliance to ensure meeting all inventory controls.
  • Support month and quarter end requirements to ensure appropriate financial reporting.
  • Lead inventory reconciliation process to identify risk, manage obsolescence, and reserve appropriately
  • Monitor system interfaces with external suppliers to identify and correct any errors that impact product movements.
  • Manage suppliers, materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of Facebook.
  • Help define and manage ongoing KPI’s to measure supplier performance.
  • Work closely with the central team to understand business requirements, implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing process improvements
  • Resolve project issues and coordinate appropriate escalation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in business analysis / program management.
  • Strong skills in As-is/to-be Business process mapping, gap analysis, requirements elicitation and data analysis.
  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Comfortable handling basic PM responsibilities (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, business or related field and 5 years related experience in a production IT environment.
  • Proficiency with Oracle , MS access, Excel, Data loaders, SQL.
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Supply Chain process understanding from Procure to Pay.
  • Quick learner, positive attitude, and customer-service focused.
