Your chance to get on the water and experience the thrill of boating

Visitors to the Show will again have the opportunity to experience the thrill of being out on the water with the ever popular Try-a-Boat feature. So whether you're a bold beginner or a sailing veteran, choose from a more varied selection of the latest RIBs, powerboats and yachts to enjoy getting out on the water for FREE.

To get a feel of what it's like on a RIB watch this video of Boat Show regulars Sue Strudwick and Steve Swan after their FREE Try A Boat X600 RIB experience, hitting 25 knots with a 150hp engine.

The best way to get spectacular views of the Show and to get out on the water this September is with Try-A-Boat. This attraction is open to people of all ages (children must be over 8 and accompanied by an adult) on a first-come-first-served basis.We have a wide selection of boats (shown below) includes the latest RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats) powerboats and sailing yachts allowing for everyone to try.

For the first time as part of the 'Try a Boat' experience, the Artemis Offshore Academy will be running daily 90 minute GO SOLO sessions between the 13th -22nd of September, aimed at giving experienced keelboat sailors the chance to give solo sailing a go.

All the boats are skippered by qualified instructors, who will provide you with a lifejacket and a short safety briefing before you head off. Depending on weather and tides each trip can be between 30 minutes and an hour.

To book your place, head to the Try-A-Boat Booking Point (stand A140), book a time slot and complete a short safety form.
