At Alton Water there are many young sailors and windsurfers who are encouraged and supported in their sailing. There is a friendly, family atmosphere that is always welcoming to new and current members. For new sailors we run weekly OnBoard sessions to improve your sailing, from here you can progress onto our Volvo Champion Club training sessions which are designed to help you start racing and learn skills which are very useful on the race course. We often enjoy playing exciting on the water games such as canoe tug of war and oppie relay races. Off the water we have fun playing games such as cricket and football in a safe area next to the club. We also have lots of social events such as our Halloween dressing up party which are enjoyed by the whole family.
 
Alton Water is a great place to learn and improve on your sailing as it is very safe and there is always someone on hand to help if you need it. We regularly take part in club races which are always great fun and help us to improve our skills.  As we progress we are encouraged to push our sailing and helped to regularly compete at regional and national level.
