Learning to sail is great fun and a exciting challenge. Our Sigma Keel Boats are a great learning boat for sailing. We will have you out and sailing and having a great time. Soon you will reach the level where you can hire a boat. This can give you a real sense of freedom and achievement.

If you want to get to the level where you can take a boat out for a sail on your own then  we recommend the RYA level 1 and 2 course. Both booth courses together and save £51. Sailing KeelBoat Level 1

Learn to sail on the sea in Brighton. This is an RYA courses with the ultimate goal of getting you into sailing. Our enthusiastic team of qualified instructors all keen sailors themselves will take you out on our performance Sigma 8 keel boats. The boats are ideal with plenty of room on boat and more akin to a mini yacht. This is a very practical course with plenty of hands on experience as both helm and crew. 

 Course Content Includes:

• How To Sail In All Directions, understanding the wind and using this to power you along
• Tacking and Gybing
• Helming and Crewing, Rigging and Reefing
• Safety, Knots and Mooring under power

Course Objective: You will be able to sail in all directions in light winds and to set your boat up ready for next time.

Sailing KeelBoat Level 2

This course takes place on our exciting Sigma 8 sports keel boat. Your skills will improve as we introduce you to the four essentials of sailing: Balance; Trim;  Sail setting; Course made good.

Course Content Includes:

• Rigging
• Man Over Board
• Sailing In All Directions
• Coming Alongsides
• Essential Safety

Course Objective: You will be sailing confidently without the instructor onboard; ready to hire our dinghies/keel boat on the sea and practice your new found skills!

Prerequisite: RYA Dinghy/Keel Level 1 or Equivalent Experience
