Lagoon Watersports specialises in group and corporate sailing days and events from Brighton, Gosport and Barcelona.

We can offer everything from a quick 90 min sailing taster session , to a full yacht race. All sessions are lead by RYA instructors and include full  training and all specilaised equipment. No previous experince is required.

Enjoy in your own yacht adventure! Most sessions start with a short briefing with the skipper you will motor out of our base at Brighton Marina. Then get to grips with the basics of sailing under the watchful eye of one of our professional yacht skippers. Once the sails are hoisted, you will have the privilege to view Brighton from the Big Blue and even race.

Corporate Event - Sailing - Brighton

Corporate groups in Brighton can enjoy learning to sail and even yacht racing from Brighton Marina and get a view of the city from the sea.

Yacht sailing
Enjoy in your own yacht adventure! After a short briefing with the skipper you will motor out of our base at Brighton Marina. The session will start with getting to grips with the basics of sailing under the watchful eye of one of our professional yacht skippers. Once the sails are hoisted, you will have the privilege to view Brighton from the Big Blue! You can get involved in the sailing as much as you want or sit back and have a more leisurely experience, you can even race.

Sample programe for half day Yacht Racing event for 40 people from Brighton:

2pm: Arrive at Lagoon Watersports at Brighton Marina. Meet the skippers and staff for pre sailing briefing.

2.15pm: Get changed into sailing gear provided by us and head to your boats.

Boats - we will provide 5 or 6 boats and skippers

• Board your boat and receive shore based introduction
• Head out from Brighton Marina doe approx 90 mins of sailing training
• All crew members will get the chance to be fully involved in the sailing. Team members will get to steer, work the sails and winches.

3.30pm: Racing 

• All boats will gather for a series of races.
• Skippers and team members will race there boats around a course at sea.
• There will be a number of races and score will be kept of finishing places in each race.

5.00pm: Return to shore

• Get changed.
• Prize giving of Cava for the winning teams.

5.15pm: Event ends.

Corporate - Half day sailing racing

Sailing race event from Brighton
Using identical performance sailing boats you will set sail with our qualified instructor and run through all the basics of sailing so you will take control with your fellow crew for the ultimate racing experience.

With a short course laid out with a 5 minute count down you will need to be crossing the start line with plenty of speed just as the start gun goes, the start is crucial but all is not lost if you don’t succeed in a quick start, the first leg up to the windward mark gives plenty of opportunity to catch up if you and you crew work well as a team.

Several races will be completed and this is a great learning experience as well as plenty of fun in this high end sport of sail racing.

We will provide everything required in specialist equipment and run the racing on a regular basis.

Corporate - Celebration Sail

Yacht sailing for small groups and company days
Perfect for any special day,  away from the crowds enjoying a sail off the coast of Brighton. Our spacious modern yachts taking unto 8 persons plus the qualified skipper and 1st mate will make this an experience not too forget. During the experience you can get involved in the sailing as much as you want or just sit back and enjoy the sail. We will supply a glass of Cava to all but you also have the option for more drinks or snacks with plenty of fridge space onboard.

Corporate - Sunset Cruise

Evening yacht sail along the Brighton and Sussex coast.
Enjoy a sailing evening along the Brighton coast line with a qualified RYA Instructor with this hands on experience ideal for those wishing to try sailing. You will see the views of Brighton from the sea and get to helm and crew on our modern performance sailing boats with the patient instructor guiding you through manouvres and during the quieter moments enjoying a glass of sparkling wine.

Corporate - Sailing Taster Sigmas

This sailing taster will get you on the water off the beautiful Brighton coast! These sessions are run on our Sigma 8s (8 metre yachts) with qualified RYA instructors to give you an introduction to sailing.

You will learn some of the sailing basics and have a go at helming (driving).

Corporate Event - Ocean Blend - Brighton

Ocean Blend is a unique Corporate event, run from Brighton Marina it combines yacht sailing and powerboating. Combine sailing with the thrills of powerboating and Thunder catting and you have an unbeatable day out.

Yacht sailing
We provide all the specialized equipment, full training and skipper. No previous experience is required. We will take you out as a total beginner and bring you back as part of the crew having had a real taste of what yachting is all about. After a short briefing with the skipper you will motor out of Brighton Marina and get busy hoisting the sails.

Once clear of the marina entrance it is then time to turn off the engine and harness the power of the wind. It is a truly calming experience out on the ocean with only your crew and sea gulls for company.

The session will be spent getting to grips with the basics of sailing under the watchful eye of one of our yacht masters. You will set sail along the Brighton Coast, cruising past the piers and be given the privilege to see Brighton from the big blue.  You will then get the chance to race these yachts.

Powerboating
The mean and lean Thunder Cats, full of power and light on weight these racing boats are licensed to thrill! These light multi-hull racing craft with big meaty engines will have your heart in your mouth. With better power to weight ratio than  Ferrari and creating up to 2G in the turns you and bet you are in for a thrill
You will spend the session in this light twin-hulled flyer with a heavyweight racing engine. After receiving expert instruction in the art of these mean racing machines you will head out onto the water.

The instructors will amaze you with what these boats can do.  In very calm Weather you may get to take the helm!

This is the ultimate ‘hold on tight ride!” The session also includes a high speed ride along the Brighton coast in our large RIB powerboat as well as a thrilling Zap Cat Ride.

Suitability: The Thunder Cats are not suitable for people with bad backs. If you are a non swimmer please inform us in advance.

Guide Price : £135 half day (3 hours) , £165 day (2 hours, break for lunch, 2 hours) - Price includes, all specialised equipment, full training, soft drinks aboard the boats and Cava at the end to drink on the boats.
