SUP Fitness Classes

SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Fitness classes at Lagoon Fitness will focus on the exciting world of SUP Fitness which offers a full body workout to meet the personal training requirements of every client. The classes will use Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP) and INDO Boards, combined with traditional exercises, to give a new effective and unique workout experience. 

What will happen in the class?
Basically you perform different exercises on a SUP board. SUP fitness is a world away from your average workout – as you are on an unstable platform you increase the intensity of every exercise; whether it be a hardcore press up or a more gentle downward dog Yoga position, the options are endless. Exercises can be designed to meet any goal from improving your general fitness to more specific goals such as strength gains. Once you’ve had a go you’ll never set foot in a gym again!

Ladies SUP Fitness

These sessions are geared up with the ladies in mind.

Working on paddle skills and getting fit at the same time. This class will focus on toning the entire body through the use of Stand Up Paddleboards.

The classes will be adapted to weather conditions, so each time the class will be different, keeping it fresh and unique.

SUP Yoga - Brighton

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga is a great new way of working out and is already a craze in the states. Essentially SUP Yoga comprises of yoga postures with Stand Up Paddle Boarding, the board playing the part of the yoga mat.

SUP YOGA provides great benefits to the mind and body, this is easy to see when each of the aspects alone gives amazing benefits to health, and together they provide the perfect combination. The board is used as an alternative yoga mat; the intensity of each pose is increased by providing clients with a greater challenge and added benefits. Your balance will improve as will your yoga performance – as the board is constantly moving, you body is working hard to stay stable, if done regularly it will lead to improved proprioception. It’s also a great way to tell if you are performing your yoga poses correctly – if you put to much weight through one side of your body, the board will react.

You don’t need to be a Yoga pro to get involved, starting with the basic poses on land, they can soon be transferred onto a Stand Up Paddle Board.
It’s a great advantage to learn the basic paddle board skills first as you’ll get a feel for the board and gain stability. Once you feel comfortable on the board and start to move about, you can then progress to some basic poses.

SUP YOGA strengthens the core, improves your balance, tones muscles, reduces stress and increases body awareness. As well as this being on the water can be both tranquil and rejuvenating, helping you to achieve a relaxed and clear mind, whilst enjoying the surroundings of nature.

SUP Circuits

SUP CIRCUITS  SUP - Intermediate to Advanced

SUP Fitness Circuits at Hove Lagoon, are a MEGA fun way to work out. The class comprises of high intensity aerobic work combined with resistance exercises, a complete total workout.

All our instructors are accredited by SUPfit, ensuring high quality, effective classes.

SUP & Run


If you like SUPing and you like Running, then get involved in this class! Aimed at Intermediate to Advanced.

The class combines short sprints on water and land, with some longer distance work and a few traditional exercises thrown into the mix. This is a great cardio workout teamed with an upper body and core workout from the paddling.

SUP Race Training

Do you want to SUP faster? Improve technique? Get fitter and stronger?

Then come on down to our weekly race training session, held every Thursday evening.

Using the latest techniques and equipment our qualified and experienced instructors will get your skills up ti speed in no time!

Sessions will differ each week depending on weather conditions. They will include:
• Using heart rate monitors
• Interval training
• Time challenges
• Paddle techniques
• Power paddles
• Turning
