We offer flexible discounted package from zero experience to RYA Dayskipper We run our RYA course from several great locations including Brighton, Gosport & Barcelona. At the end of the course you will be licensed to skipper your own boat and charter a boat both in the UK or abroad. Courses are run throughout the year.
 
We offer three packages :
  1. Day Skipper theory and Practical combined course : A 9 day course combining the Practical and theory course.
  2. Zero to Day Skipper: A package combining the Competent Crew, Day Skipper Theory and parcical courses plus a further shorebased course.
  3. Day Skipper: A package assuming to have completed the competent crew course or and equivilant experince. Includes the Day Skipper Theory and parcical courses plus a further shorebased course.

Day Skipper Theory and Practical Combined

The Day Skipper Yacht Training Package Combined includes RYA Day Skipper Theory and RYA Day Skipper Practical. This a consecutive 9 day course. The first 2 days will involve Day Skipper Theory, the next 5 days will involve Day Skipper Practical and the final 2 days will involve Day Skipper Theory.

The Day Skipper Theory course is a comprehensive introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers and is an essential preparation for our RYA Day Skipper Practical course.

Prerequisite:
Competent Crew Practical or Equivalent Experience


On the RYA Day Skipper Practical course you will gain further experience through planning and completing passages, including a night sail. You will also gain your ICC (International Certificate of Competence). You will also practice lots of close quarter handling skills and mooring in a range of marinas - offering more interesting ways to tie up for the night!

Zero to Dayskipper

Fast Track to Dayskipper This flexible discounted package from zero experience to RYA Dayskipper will enable you to complete your Dayskipper in a short time or over the period of a year. We run our RYA course from several great locations including Brighton, Gosport & Barcelona. At the end of the course you will be licensed to skipper your own boat and charter a boat both in the UK or abroad. Courses are run throughout the year and Dayskipper package includes: Competent Crew (5 Days)The Competent Crew course is a ‘hands on’ practical course that teaches you the basic principles of sailing, as well as personal safety.  DaySkipper Theory (5 Days)The Day Skipper Theory course is a comprehensive introduction to cruising for inexperienced skippers and is an essential preparation for our RYA Day Skipper Practical course.
DaySkipper Practical (5 Days)On the RYA Day Skipper Practical course you will gain further experience through planning and completing passages, including a night sail. You will also gain your ICC (International Certificate of Competence). You will also practice lots of close quarter handling skills and mooring in a range of marinas. Theory Course in Diesel Maintenance, First Aid or VHF Radio (1 Day)RYA Diesel Maintenance - Mechanical failure is the main cause of lifeboat callouts, however this can be prevented if you learn basic maintenance and engine care.

OR

RYA First Aid - You will work through different emergency scenarios on our boats thus gaining valuable information in a more realistic environment.

OR

RYA VHF Radio - It is a legal requirement that someone onboard has a VHF license and this course teaches basic radio operation and what to do in situations of distress and emergencies. It is extremely beneficial to learn how to use a VHF as it is one of the most important safety features on any boat. *Does not include the £60 license fee
