First Aid

Study for your RYA First Aid, Safety at Sea certificate.  In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations.  From our Brighton classroom you will learn about; the Recovery Position, Cold Shock & Hypothermia from Immersion or Exposure, Drowning, Seasickness & Dehydration, Medical Assistance /Advice by VHF, Helicopter Rescue and CPR.

On this practical Lagoon Watersports course you will get the chance to move out of the classroom and work through different emergency scenarios on our boats, all the time gaining valuable information in a more realistic environment.  Yes you can put someone into the recovery position in a spacious classroom, but how about in the cockpit of a yacht, or near the engine bay of a motorcrusier!

Course Objective:  You will have a working knowledge of first aid for people using small craft

Prerequisite: None
