Learn to sail on the sea in Brighton, with this is an RYA course. Our enthusiastic team of qualified instructors all keen sailors themselves will take you out on our performance sailing boats. The boats are ideal with plenty of room on boat and more akin to a mini yacht. This is a very practical course with plenty of hands on experience as both helm and crew. 

Suitability: Adults 

Prerequisites: This course is aimed at complete beginners. Non swimmers please advise us in advance.

Gift Voucher - Sailing race half day

Sailing race day gift voucher / experience day from Brighton, Sussex

A great fun and exciting introduction to sail boat racing with full training and all specialised equipment provided. You'll be on board a modern Sigma high-performance manoeuverable keelboat. 

Meet your instructor and the crew, before heading to the yachts for a safety briefing.

Training includes hoisting sails, helming, practising the most efficient methods of manoeuvring the yacht and learning how to keelhaul landlubbers.

Then you'll be briefed on the rules of the race, which takes place on a floating 'race track'.

You'll participate fully in crewing the yacht during the race, putting into action everything that you've learned and pitting you against the competition and the elements. Afterwards you'll retire to the clubhouse for results, and you're welcome to go for a well earned drink with the instructor and crew in one of the local bars afterwards.

Objective: Introduction to sailing and sail boat racing.

Prerequisite: None - suitable for those new to sailing or with some sailing experience.

You’ll find out what a Thunder Cat can do, including jaw-dropping big air jumps and high speed turns.
