We offer RYA powerboat training and courses including the popular RYA Level 2 Powerbaot  from Barcelona. For international powerboating we offer training and testing for the International Cerficate of Competence (ICC). We also offer RYA  Own Boat Tution - for this we can be flexible and work around your schedule. Either way We have a small team of instructors and keep course numbers to a minimum to maintain quality and keep training informative and enjoyable.

 

For those seeking an thrilling expereince from Barcelona we also have Powerboat Rides. This is a great way to sample life in the fast lane and see the ionic city from the big blue. Barcelona RYA Powerboat Level 2 (ICC) Course

Learn to drive a powerboat with RYA powerboat level 2 course including ICC (International Certificate of Competence) from Barcelona

The Course: We have a new RIB in Barcelona with a  Suzuki 90 HP engine which is ideal for this course. So, if you want a fantastic power boating experience in sunny Spain with perfect sea conditions, wonderful coastline and of course delicious tapas, then why not join Lagoon Watersports in beautiful vibrant Barcelona? Our boats are moored in Port Vell, located in the heart of Barcelona. Since 2010 Port Vell has been undergoing huge transformations with significant investment in state-of-the-art infrastructure, that will position the marina as one of the leading superyacht destinations in the world. ICC (The International Certificate of Competence)
The International Certificate of Competence is issued in conformity with Resolution No. 40 of the Working Party on Inland Water Transport. The ICC is required by many European countries for the use of certain categories of pleasure boat. It is also useful in countries where compulsory certificates are required of nationals simply because officials expect to see such a certificate. You automatically qualify for your ICC on completion of the RYA powerboat level 1 and 2 course. To apply you will need a copy of the application form available from the RYA website at www.rya.org.uk.  You will need a passport photo along with either your RYA membership number or your ICC fee and your Powerboat Level 1/2 Certificate.

Course Objective: You will be a sufficient powerboater in the right conditions.

Prerequisites: None

Barcelona RYA Own Boat Tuition Power or Sail

RYA Training on your own sail boat or powerboat boat in Barcelona and the Costa Brava with Lagoon Watersports

All our RYA courses or bespoke training can be completed on your own boat, we offer this on Sailing boats, Powerboats and larger Motor cruisers. Please call or email so we can put together a training plan for you.

Training a few people on the boat is an advantage as it offers the safety of knowing someone else on board who will be able to handle the boat as well as helping to complete manouvres.

A check list of equipment is provided on booking and the boat must be ready and of sound condition with insurance cover.

We offer own boat tuition from our bases, but if your boat is located away from these bases our instructor can travel to other locations with just the additional fee of travel expenses.

Price is for the instructor per day and if there is any addition person on board there is a small surcharge. As a guide, we like to teach to a maximum of 5 persons on board a sailboat to the one instructor, or a maximum of 3 people on motor  -  It all depends on the type and size of boat

 Own Boat Sail
Own boat tuition is an an excellent way of getting to know your own boat whilst completing an RYA course and gaining RYA qualifications. We offer the following own boat tuition from our base in Barcelona, we can also travel to other locations along the Catalunya coastline depending on where your boat is based:

• Coastal Skipper
• Bespoke training like mooring, sailing skills and Advanced skills
• International Certificate of Competence
