If you don't recognize activity on your ad account, review your purchase history to make sure you're aware of all the purchases made on your account. Also, if you manage multiple ad accounts, make sure the activity isn't coming from your other accounts that share the same payment method.

If you still see purchases that you don't recognize and believe someone who shouldn't have access to your ad account made them, let us know.

If your account is sending out spam (ex: links you didn't post) or creating events and Pages you didn't create, try these tips.

If you can log into your account, we recommend changing your password. If you can't get into your account you can secure it here.

• Delete the post
• Delete the page
• Delete the group
• Delete the event

It's possible that you clicked on a malicious link, downloaded a bad file, or logged into a fake Facebook page and your password was stolen. Learn more about keeping your account secure.

If there's spending activity on your account that you don't recognize, please review your purchase history. If you still don't recognize this activity after reviewing your purchases, let us know.

It's possible that their computer has a virus or bad software, or that their login info was phished. Here's what you can do to help:

• Learn how to keep your account secure

If your friend can't get into their account because it was taken over by someone else, please tell them to go to the Hacked Accounts section of the Help Center to get immediate help.

Please keep in mind that we can't release information about an account to anyone but the account holder.

If someone is pretending to be one of your friends and using Facebook to ask you and your other friends for money, please report this to us.
