Facebook is looking for a Product Manager with a strong technical background, experience with language technologies, and a passion for changing the world at scale. This is a full-time position based in our main office in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products using language technologies
  • Design shared frameworks for speech and translation that multiple teams across the company can build on
  • Move quickly to develop and launch products that improve people’s experiences
  • Manage short- and long-term roadmaps for machine learning and research teams
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements
  • Define and analyze metrics that ensure success
  • Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry

Requirements

  • Prior Product management or product design experience
  • Experience developing products in speech recognition, machine translation, and/or speech synthesis
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications and/or media products
  • Experience designing simple and intuitive user interfaces – ability to create examples through wire frames and mock ups
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field is ideal
