We are looking for technical lead for RocksDB.
RocksDB is an embeddable persistent key-value store for fast storage (especially Flash and RAM storage) for server workloads (http://rocksdb.org/). It has highly configurable settings that can be tuned to run on a variety of production environments. Since open sourced by Facebook in 2013 Nov, it has accumulated 1900+ stars and 280+ forks on github.
RocksDB team @ Facebook focuses on two major areas: (1) New features that help broaden RocksDB’s adoption and better serve existing customers, e.g., column family for secondary index and JNI support for Java codes; (2) Performance improvement as motived by RocksDB mission, which is to become the most efficient key-value storage for Flash and RAM storage.

Responsibilities
- Drive the direction of the team, with good vision for medium to long term.
- Manage multiple projects across the whole team, from high-level architecture design to some specific technical discussion. May need to lead one project with hands-on work.
- Drive effort towards the performance goal - Make RocksDB the most efficient key-value storage for Flash and RAM storage.
- Open source: Build RocksDB community, engage RocksDB with 5+ industry companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Software development in C/C++
- 10+ years experience in database area.
- Experience leading a team of 4+ persons.
- Open source experience, a plus.
- NoSQL experience, a plus.
