Menlo Park, CAWe're seeking a software engineer who is passionate about building elegant web products. You should be comfortable with the entire web stack, from implementing visual designs to tuning database queries. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with full-stack web development, coupled with a strong computer science background.
You'll be working with a small team building all parts of the Parse website, which is used by tens of thousands of developers to manage their applications. We care deeply about the visual design and user experience, and will do what it takes to build the best platform web product in the world.
This position is based in Menlo Park, CA.
Responsibilities
- Building all aspects of the Parse web app.
- Maintaining, testing, and iterating on the web app.
- Working with our designer to bring designs to life.
Requirements
- Expert at building JavaScript-heavy Ruby on Rails apps.
- Well-versed with modern HTML and CSS.
- Ability to take ownership of all parts of a web project.
- Understand how to optimize browser and Rails performance issues.
- Understanding of general user experience and UI design principles.
- Previous experience with backbone.js is desirable.
