Games Partner Engineering is a highly technical team that works with our game developers and strategic partners to integrate Facebook Platform into their desktop and mobile games. In this role, you will engage with some of the world's most influential companies, large developer community and work closely with our world-class engineering and product teams. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical and business skills with games industry experience to make our games partners in Korea successful and improve Facebook Platform. This position is based in our Singapore office, with travel to Korea and Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand Facebook Platform and underlying implementation
  • Write best practices, documentation, samples and other materials to enable easier onboarding of Facebook games developer community onto the Facebook Platform
  • Developer outreach in gaming community through conferences, blogs, hacks, etc.
  • Manage game specific launches by ensuring verification, documentation and communication as well as testing with launch partners
  • Write and test software in a number of languages (Java, PHP, HTML5, SQL, etc.) to help game partners with their integrations
  • Reproduce, track and drive partner bugs and feature requests with Product and Engineering teams

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Previous experience (min 3+ years) as a game developer or software engineer
  • Excellent software development skills in one or more of the following languages: Java, Objective C, Python, PHP, C/C++, Ruby or HTML5
  • Good understanding of Web technology and mobile technologies (iOS & Android)
  • Familiarity with the Korean gaming market
  • Fluent in Korean and English
  • Solid public speaking skills, experience presenting to large technical audiences a plus
  • The ideal candidate will already have a good understanding of the Facebook Platform
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Successful candidates will complete Facebook’s 6-week engineering bootcamp in Menlo Park, California
