Facebook is seeking an experienced Partner Engineer to develop and manage relationships with our key partners across the gaming and mobile app verticals. Partner Engineering is a highly technical team which engages with some of the world's most influential gaming companies and works closely with our world-class engineering and product teams. You will work across a range of technology stacks, including our JavaScript, iOS, Android and Unity SDKs, and use your deep understanding of Facebook Platform to ensure the success of our partners. You will represent Facebook at developer events and conferences, and write documentation and sample material that helps developers implement Facebook's tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical, product and business skills to make our partners successful and improve the platform. This position is full time and is based in our London office.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the Facebook Platform and underlying implementation
- Support key strategic partners, owning the technical relationships to ensure success
- Write documentation, best practices, samples and other materials to help games developers integrating with Facebook
- Developer outreach in the gaming community through conferences, blogs and hacks
- Write and test software in order to help developers with their integrations
- Reproduce, track and drive partner bugs with our product and engineering teams
- Manage platform feature launches and beta testing process
Requirements
- BA/BSc in Computer Science or equivalent degree and experience
- Previous experience (4+ years) as a software engineer, technical consultant, game developer or partner/sales engineer
- Excellent software development skills in a range of contemporary languages and environments such as JavaScript, PHP, Objective-C, Java, .NET, Python, Ruby
- Deep understanding of the web and mobile technology stacks
- Excellent communication skills, experience speaking to large technical and business audiences a plus
- Ideally an existing understanding of the Facebook Platform or experience building social applications and games
- Familiarity with the Russian developer ecosystem, and fluency in Russian a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel ~20% of time
- Successful candidates will complete Facebook’s 6-week engineering bootcamp in Menlo Park, California
