The “Asset Strategy & Optimization” team is chartered with optimizing the cost and utilization of all hardware for the Facebook.com website, one of the largest fleets in the industry. We are looking for a strong team player who can apply existing skills and learn the area of hardware asset management. This individual will need to apply advanced analytical techniques to help make better decisions and to solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal team to understand and perform the day to day work of our disposal process and lease buyout process.
- Analyze data to identify trends, dealing with datasets, pivot tables, and deriving conclusions from data
Requirements
- Pursuing BS, MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Interdisciplinary programs that have a good mix of engineering and business
- Sound understanding and ability to explain financial and business concepts like Net Present Value (NPV), Capital or Operating Lease, Discounted cash flow (DCF), interest rates
- Comfortable with MS Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint
- Must like technology and be willing to learn about technology hardware, asset lifecycle management, hardware leasing
- Proven ability to solve problems in nonstandard and innovative ways
- Excellent communication skills
