Rutland Sailing School

Rutland Sailing School specialises in dinghy and catamaran sailing which means we are able to offer the best possible training and instruction. The professional staff, trained by the Royal Yachting Association offer everything from introductory sessions, to personal tuition sessions in your own boat.

The boats we use are from the Laser range, with whom we work very closely to keep the best equipment, so offering our clients the greatest opportunity to achieve their aims.

The facilities are shared with Rutland Sailing Club and provide all clients with the excellence both on and off-shore, with opportunity to learn in a friendly club atmosphere.

We provide all clients with Wetsuit, Buoyancy aid and Spray Tops however if you have your own please feel free to bring it along, we do need you to bring your own footwear, towel and swimwear. All boats and gear is included in the price of courses.

Saturday Social Sailing 2- 4pm every Saturday

SSS is a great way to meet up with Members or to find a crew if you don’t have one. These sessions run every week, and will continue through the autumn and winter, cost just £10 if you use one of our boats, and just £5 if you use running sessions, which range from how to sail better, to how to start a race and get round the course.

Ladies who Launch

LWL meet every Tuesday and Friday 10 – 12.30, it’s a group of ladies who meet and sail, with an instructor on hand running sessions to improve your boat handling, and general sailing. They also sail all year round and meet socially in the winter if they're not sailing. This is a great way to meet other likeminded ladies.
