Customizing your profile

You can customize your profile by selecting unique profile and header images, by pinning a Tweet, and by adding a name, bio, location, website and theme color that other users will see when they visit your profile page.

You can change your profile and header photos in two ways:

From your profile page:

    From your account settings:

    1. Go to your Profile settings.
    2. Click the Change photo button to change your profile photo. You’ll be given the option to upload a photo, take a photo, or remove your existing photo. (If you take a photo with your webcam, you may receive an alert asking permission to use your webcam. To proceed, click Allow.)
    3. Click the Change header button to change your header photo. You’ll be given the option to upload a photo or remove your existing photo.
    4. Position and size the photo(s) to your liking, and then click Apply.
    5. You’ll see a prompt letting you know that your photo(s) have been successfully published to your profile.
Note: Photos can be in any of the following formats: JPG, GIF, or PNG. (Twitter does not support animated GIFs.) Recommended dimensions for profile photos are 400x400 pixels. Recommended dimensions for header photos are 1500x500 pixels.

Pin a Tweet to your profile

You can pin a Tweet to your profile so that when others visit your profile page, it is the first Tweet they will see.

      To pin a Tweet:

      1. Go to your profile page.
      2. Find the Tweet you’d like to pin and click the ellipsis icon (•••).
      3. Select Pin to your profile page.
      4. Click Pin.

        To unpin a Tweet:

        1. Go to your profile page.
        2. On the Tweet that you have pinned, click the ellipsis icon (•••).
        3. Click Unpin from profile page.
        4. Click Unpin.
Note: You may notice that some of your Tweets’ fonts appear bigger than others. Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
