Ice Ice Baby

March 25 – Sometime last September, while lamenting the approaching hard-water season, members of the Calgary Model Sailing Association forged out the idea for an RC Ice Boat design and build competition. The Ghost Cup Challenge was born. After a winter spent mostly in workshops, but also doing some friendly ribbing on Facebook, four boats assembled on March 16th to compete on the ice surface. Congratulations to Andrew Baak (sail #9), winner of the first annual Ghost Cup Challenge. Full details and dozens of photos are available on the CMSA Facebook page.

Thanks to Vanilla Ice for the article title inspiration.
