ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship 2011
Zadar, Croatia
The 41st ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship in Zadar, Croatia is all set to host the competition with registration and equipment allocation starting tomorrow.
A lot of hard work and effort goes into putting together the ISAF Youth Worlds and Event Director Zrinka Grancaric has been working hard over the past four years to put on a memorable event for the 349 sailors making their way to Zadar.
"Everybody is set and everybody is ready," said Grancaric.
"We've worked really hard and really diligent. It is a big challenge but I think we are up for it."
"Lots of volunteers volunteering their free time to help organise the championship so I think when we see the first warning signal there will be a lot of happy people here."
Watch a full interview with Zrinka Grancaric as she talks about the preparations behind the 41st ISAF Youth Worlds and the weather and conditions that sailors should expect throughout the week.
Sailing begins on Saturday 9 July with 12 races scheduled until Friday 15 July.
