The ISAF National Training Programme (NTP) document is intended as a set of 'how to' guidelines to help ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) in not only the setting up but also the management of an existing national training programme (NTP) specific to sailing.

The document includes specific guidelines for the delivery of training in the following disciplines:

• Dinghy / Keelboat
• Windsurfing
• Multihulls
• Kiteboarding
• Safety / Coach boat usage.

The ISAF National Learn to Sail Training Programme can also be used as a guide by MNA's who are looking at gaining accreditation for ISAF Recognized Training status for their already successfully developed national programmes. This accreditation can often help MNAs access funding from government ministries and National Olympic Committees as well as aligning national certification / qualification of sailors or coaches with international standards.
