Small Boat Safety

Personal buoyancy is an essential part of small boat safety; you should ensure that you select the correct type for the activity intended.

Choose personal buoyancy that fits, and fits the type of boating you will be doing. There are many that are comfortable and attractive, which means you are much more likely to be wearing it should an emergency arise.

Adults should wear personal buoyancy for their own protection and also to set a good example. Children and non-swimmers should wear suitable personal buoyancy at all times whilst both afloat and on the shore around open water.
