Membership of the International Association for Disabled Sailing may be granted by the Executive Board in the following categories:
- Ordinary members - national authorities (eg ISAF MNAs), National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) or equivalent or where there is no MNA, NPC or equivalent a National Olympic Committee;
- Honorary members - individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth of disabled sailing;
- Affiliate members - international or national disabled sailing organizations;
- Associations members - international or national organizations that share common objectives with IFDS.
