International Measurers Seminars & Clinics

ISAFs Seminars and Clinics for Measures are intended to improve the standard of measurement and to assist people who wish to become an International Measurer. Both are hosted by Member National Authorities. Information about hosting an ISAF Seminar or Clinic is available here.

ISAF International Measurers Seminars

An ISAF IM Seminar must allow for a minimum of 20 hours of instruction followed by the ISAF IM Written Test. Candidates who wish to attend an IM Seminar should either have been appointed as an Official Measurer or have an attended an ISAF IM Clinic and have proved experience of Measurement and Equipment Inspection. ISAF recommends that the Seminar is held immediately before a major international regatta.

Candidates for ISAF IM Status must attend an IM Seminar and pass the written test.

ISAF International Measurers Clinics

The IM Clinics are part of ISAF's programme to develop Measurement in target areas of the world.

An ISAF IM Clinic must allow for a minimum of 12 hours of instruction followed by a practical measurement session. There are no particular requirements for candidates who wish to attend an IM Clinic but it is advisable that they have racing experience. ISAF recommends that an IM Clinic is held immediately before a national regatta.
