A few pictures from the Southport 24 Hour Endurance Race 2013. Budworth again entered THREE boats, and achieved brilliant results, with the A Team coming 2nd overall – the BEST EVER result, B Team coming 15th – equaling last year’s excellent result, and C Team 40th. Well done to ALL!

Budworth at the 24 Hour Endurance race in Southport in September 2012. Budworth were the only club to enter 3 boats, complete with crews for 24 hours. And we did rather well - Tiring but great fun!

We all have fun racing, whatever the weather! Sometimes the wind just does not blow - but then we watch the beautiful sunsets!

Strong winds tested the fleet in the Fireball Open 2013, as you can see.

The GP14 fleet gets to use spinnakers as well, which tests the skills of both crew and helm!

A stong laser fleet enjoys very competitive racing.

It was a grey day, very cold for the time of year. The wind blew up to a force 3 westerly in the 2nd of 3 hour long races. We had a good turnout of 11 which included 6 visitors. If the sun had shone it would have been perfect.

RS 200's give an exciting sail in breezy conditions!

After a couple of us had tried the Solo dinghy (shows GP sailors can sail Solos as well!), the club adopted this as a new fleet, and it is growing fast!
