Feargal Kinsella who was nominated by the Irish Disabled Sailing Association has just won the 2001 Champion of Champions Regatta in dramatic fashion by 0.75 points.
The final was sailed in light winds producing close & exciting racing all afternoon. After five races the top three boats were only seperated by 1.25 points. Going into the final anyone of four boats could have clinched the title. To secure his victory Feargal had to catch and pass two boats at the final leeward mark in the final race. In doing so Feargal has beaten the cream of Irish sailors.
