Toscana Elba Cup

The first two days of fine tuning and trials of the ISAF Grade 1, Toscana Elba Cup - Trofeo Locman have concluded with expectations running high for today's Round Robin.
Teams and public are satisfied with the two initial days set aside for getting acclimated and warming up for Toscana Elba Cup - Trofeo Locman. All participating teams have arrived in Elba. Crews took to the waters of Porto Azzurro for circa four hours of free trials on Sunday and Monday. Skies were serene becoming overcast in afternoon, with winds of 15-20 knots.

Starting today, the 12 participating teams will be competing in eliminations. After 22 scheduled matches, expected to finish by Thursday evening, the eight winning teams will enter the quarterfinals, scheduled for Saturday May 8, and the semi-finals and finals scheduled for Sunday May 9.

Main sponsors of the event, in addition to the Toscana Regional and local government bodies, are the Gruppo MPS (with Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Banca Toscana) and Locman Italy S.p.A.
